Named Al-Furqan, meaning a differentiator, taken from the word al-Furqan contained on the first verse of this Sura. The Al-Furqan in this paragraph is Al-Quran (see another name Al-Qur'an).
The Quran is named Al-Furqan because the distinguishes between the haq with a vanity. Then on this letter was there are verses that differentiate between the truth of God Almighty with falsehood and shirk beliefs.
