Surah Al-Hijr is the 15th chapter of the Qur'an. This Sura consisting of 99 and includes the verse of surah-Sura of the Qur'an Verses. Al-Hijr is the name of a mountainous region inhabited by the Thamud in ancient times that is located on the edge of the road between Medina and Sham (Syria).
The name of this Sura is taken from the name of the mountainous area in relation to the fate of its inhabitants, namely the Thamud is told in paragraph 80 to 84, they have been destroyed, because the Prophet God deniers Saleh and turned away from the verses of Allah.
In this Sura there are also stories of others who have been destroyed by God as the Luth and Shoaib. This Sura contains the message that those who are opposed to the teachings of the Apostles will be subjected to destruction.
